I DID get what I asked for and more when I took on recreating her manga panel scenes because there were plenty of shadows/shades + lighting effects that I was unable to draw them all due to being a beginner LMAOOO. My non-existent art skills were... 3.2/🧪 12:38 AM May 9th from web

Another thing I found memorable about cosplaying Maomao is how her manga panels here almost always have shadows/shadings on or half of her eyes to highlight the differences in her stares! Found it really enjoyable to draw on my eyes like that. XDD 3.1/🧪 12:33 AM May 9th from web

Lastly, while the photo-taking went without a hitch overall, what made me work on these longer was drawing more details unlike previous cosplays + figuring out how to shade everything correctly to MATCH my photo AND the manga panels at the same time. 3/🧪 12:27 AM May 9th from web

While it is true that The Apothecary Diaries is more of a mystery series with romance, Maomao still has her own variety in expressions (which I already captioned in the cosplay photos hehe) and attitude, making her quite a fun character to explore. 2.2/🧪 12:16 AM May 9th from web
