@Fennec i have a macbook air from 2013 in my attic somewhere. it doesnt work though. the battery is SUPER dead (like, it doesnt charge, & the internal clock doesnt work so you cant even do anything but turn it on)

@Spectron24 yeah the software i use works on windows 11 but my PC is "not compatible" with 11 (despite it having fairly new parts!) so im still on 10. though even if it WAS "compatible" i would stay with 10 cuz every time i use 11, it pisses me off

@Cazzy you could always downgrade it to XP, since if its running vista then it definitely has the power to run XP. i can link you to an ISO file of Windows XP Professional x86 if you want (it has a working product key!)

prior to that windows XP computer in 2006 though, we had this ancient Power Macintosh 6100/66 in the basement for like, 10 years. it was older than me... & it didnt even go online

then we didnt get vista until 2008 when the XP computer broke. & i rarely ever saw vista anywhere because everything just stuck with XP like at school & shit so i really just had no idea it existed til '08

i always forget that windows XP came out in 2001 & windows vista came out in 2006. we got our first windows XP computer when i was a kid back in 2006 literally months before vista's release

@Quentin XP is just barely usable. like you can use legacyupdate.net to get it as updated as possible & you can use forks of firefox & chromium that still support the system. otherwise its just too old
