I can see the headphones being great in the studio, but I don't do any audio mixing/creation so they're not for me...

Do note Sony's MDR 7506's are only for mixing, NOT for enjoyment. These were the headphones I got for Christmas and it seems like they're supposed to sound very boring and flat. Just a little bit of bass but that's all you're getting.
